This workflow shows how to create USB-exportable Sets with Mixlog for DJ’s who play on Pioneer club gear.

What you’ll need

• Rekordbox software on a PC or Mac
• a Mixlog account

1. Import your Collection

Export/import the Rekordbox .xml file with the location column enabled. Get this file onto your device running Mixlog or use the Web app on the same device. Please check: importing your rekordbox data for detailed info

2. Convert Existing Sets into Combos

In Mixlog, go to the playlists tab, use "select" and select the playlists that are actually prepared DJ mixes -> convert them to Combos using the green "convert" button. Adding Combos

3. Set your Intention

Open the Session and set a filter - the trick is to reflect your Intentions.

-> Ask yourself: What type of Mix do I want to create? Once you’re aware of this, select the relevant playlists using the Filter icon on the top right of the Session Search & Suggestion Filter

4. Start your Session

Find and add a Tune to your Session to get started on your Mix.

Make sure to choose one from within your Filter selection.
